“The differences in care between Fairmont and my mother’s previous facility are manifest. From staffing levels to quality, amount of nutrition and daily interaction …. Whilst my mother’s health since she came to Fairmont has improved (incredible given the deteriorative nature of my mother’s dementia), the care and caring she receives would not be replicated from any facility we could find in Queensland, so we are happy to leave her in your care and visit as often as we can, even though it pains us to do this – we want what is best for my mother since we cannot care for her ourselves. What you offer is the next best thing – and for that we are truly grateful.

“Over the five years that Mum was living at Fairmont, they maintained effective communication with the family which allowed us to be confident in the care Mum was receiving. They provided her with the freedom to 'roam' within the grounds showing a true understanding of both her physical and emotional needs. Mum was provided with home cooked meals that were always tasty and nutritious and daily activities that saw her engage with staff and other residents. Mum recently died at the age of 100.5 years and the family believe that she was able to celebrate this personal milestone due greatly to the caring approach adopted by Fairmont staff.”
